WHAT TO EXPECT

Booking Your Portrait Session

We will discuss a date & location for your portrait session and discuss your requirements in detail, as well as talk through any questions you might have. At that time, we will confirm the time, date and location of your portrait session.

On the day of your portrait session

Many of my photography sessions take place in the morning or late afternoon, as it is when the children and light are at its best however we will set a time that fits both our schedules. I prefer to photograph outdoors, for example a local park that you frequent as a family. Some people like to be doing an activity, for example walking through a farmers market or a taking a morning stroll through a park. There are many things we can do, as long as it makes you happy and the kids enjoy it!

Because these environments are familiar to you and your family you will be more relaxed. Without the pressure to perform, children are much more willing to cooperate!

I like for children and family members to be as relaxed as possible so its best to let kids be kids to a certain extent and act naturally.

If it rains on the day of your session, depending on how hard the rain is we can continue with the session, photograph indoors if mutually agreeable or reschedule for another time.

After your portrait session

In a day or two you will get digital preview images from your session then within 2 weeks of your regular portrait session I will be in touch to let you know the remaining digital images are ready which you receive as part of your package. Your images will be uploaded to your own online gallery where you can share with friends and family and you may make additional purchases of many products including high quality canvas prints or albums.
